About Max
Hello! I'm Max Sandler, a technical sound designer with a passion for creating immersive sonic experiences for games and interactive media.
My journey commenced at Columbia College Chicago, where I delved into the intricacies of sound design, programming, and game development.
My initial venture into the industry was with Nintendo of America, where I held the role of Product Content Coordinator. There, I contributed to articles for the company's support website, gaining invaluable experience in documentation and technical writing.
Subsequently, I transitioned to freelance sound design and implementation, often collaborating with the talented team at Unlock Audio. I had the privilege of working on various projects during this time, including Mobile Tactics: Bang Bang, Sheba: A New Dawn, Dragonspire, Tinker VR, the splash screen audio for game studio The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, and pinball machine adaptations of Toy Story 4 and The Godfather.
I went on to spend three and a half years as the sole Technical Sound Designer at Tempo Games, where I built and maintained numerous audio systems, created sound effects, and handled VO post-production for The Bazaar.
I’m currently collaborating with The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild once again as a Technical Sound Designer on their upcoming first-person puzzle game, Desolus. I’m always excited to connect with other developers and audio folks—feel free to reach out if you’d like to chat or collaborate!
